When you Work from home you are nearly always working on your own and this means that you must accept responsibility for managing your work jobs. For many work from home practitioners there will be a variety of differing tasks to do before the end of the day, Online jobs, meetings and errands to run etc Some duties are enjoyable, others are the opposite and many people based from home usually begin the day tackling the duties they most enjoy doing. This delays the less enjoyable things until later in the day. This is human nature.

There is a huge problem with this approach. What might turn out is that if you tackle the easy things first you will start to run out of energy by the time you get ready to do the less pleasant things. This means that you are quite likely to give up on these late in the day things and delay them until tomorrow. It requires far more motivation to do a dull duty when you are fatigued at the end of a long hard day than it does when you are just out of bed and fresh.

So a straightforward work from home plan should be apparent. Every day make a schedule of the things you need to finish. Sort them in order of preference. So if you like online jobs most put those at the top of your list. The obvious idea then is to start all your tasks in reverse order. Get the very unpleasant stuff done first. Retain your preferred tasks until later in the day, you can anticipate them and use them as an incentive to get the dull tasks out of the way.

One final bit of advice, schedule all meetings as late in the day as you can. This gives more time for work from home tasks. Meetings are arranged and cannot easily be postponed, so there is less chance of you neglecting tasks and your productivity should improve.
